The most beautiful and highest waterfalls in Morocco!
At 2h30 from our restaurant in Marrakech, Le Foundouk, we invite you to discover the waterfalls of Ouzoud, at 1060 meters of altitude.
An unmissable tourist site in Morocco
If you wish to take a break from the heat of the city, the Ouzoud waterfalls located about 150 kilometres north of Marrakech, in the canyon of Oued el-Abid, are the perfect place. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this preserved natural site is both tourist and wild.
Unique waterfalls of 110 metres high
At this point, the water bounces back over three levels in a red sandstone valley and falls 110 metres high, amidst lush vegetation consisting of fig, almond, olive and many other trees.
There are many observation platforms where you can admire the water flowing down to the river. Along the trail there is a good chance that you will see Barbary monkeys. These are Berber macaques living in the wild.
The best time to come and see these waterfalls is between March and June, when the snowmelt produces the most water!
