A true haven of greenery and freshness 30km from Marrakech

About 30 kilometres from our restaurant in Marrakech, Le Foundouk, the mountain villages with traditional Berber houses in the Ourika Valley are one of the most popular attractions to do outside the red city.

Magnificent landscapes of the High Atlas

The small villages and towns, surrounded by orchards and lush fields, are a pleasant escape from the heat of the city and provide a glimpse of typical Moroccan rural life.

Indeed, this region is populated by Berbers who have kept an authentic mountain lifestyle. A guaranteed change of scenery away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, between noise and bustle!

On Mondays, don't miss the weekly market held in the village of Tnine. A market filled with the bustle and colours of local life.

Hikes starting from Setti Fatma

Last village of the valley, you will reach the pretty village of Setti Fatma located 70km from Marrakech, with its waterfalls on the hill overlooking the city. Perched at an altitude of 1500 metres, it is moreover the most famous tourist attraction of the Ourika valley!

From there, go hiking to the 7 waterfalls or opt for the ascent of Mount Toubkal, the highest point of the Atlas Mountains!
