The Majorelle Garden

Founded by Jacques Majorelle, opened to the public in 1947 and then bought by Pieere Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent, the Majorelle Garden is THE touristic destination of the ochre city.

Located in the heart of Marrakech, the garden exhibits plants coming from all around the world. Cactus, bamboo, palm trees, flowery pots and aquatic plants made a perfect composition that will amaze you at every step of your way.

In addition to its lush flora, the Majorelle Garden hosts a very rich fauna composed of many particular and exotic birds, but also various species of fish that you will be able to observe in the water ponds and fountains, making the place alive and soothing.

Its bright colors predominantly blue and purple are ubiquitous on the garden buildings, with sober and aesthetic architecture inspired by Moroccan palaces.

The Garden of Arts

In the heart of Marrakech, near from the city hall, a park of monumental sculptures has recently been erected. This project comes out of the imagination of the artist Mahi Binebine and aims to offer residents and visitors an open-air museum of dozens of artistic works related to the African continent.

This place, created following the COP22, is composed of works specially designed aroung the themes of climate, sustainable development, relationship to nature or materiality. This contribute to the cultural education of the youngest. To this day, the Garden of Arts exposes a dozen artists of the Moroccan scene.

This pioneering initiative is part of a journey that aims to rehabilitate a garden in each of the major cities of the Kingdom, from Essaouira to Casablanca, through Tangier or Marrakech.


The Anima Garden

The paradise garden of the artist André Heller, world-famous multimedia artist, offers a new and magnificent curiosity near the city of Marrakech. Located 27 km outside the city, in the Ourika Valley and in the shadow of the imposing Atlas, Anima Garden is served by a free shuttle bus.

Mentioned as one of the most beautiful and enamelled fantasy in the world, this garden of more than two hectares is a mix between art and botany. In fact, besides the beauty of its vegetation, Anima Garden is also composed of three exhibition rooms dedicated to the art culture, highlighting the young talents of contemporary art.

Secret Garden

Located in the medina of Marrakech, the origins of the Secret Garden date back to the time of Saadian dynasty, more than four hundred years ago. Rebuilt in the middle of the 19th century, this garden has been home to some of the greatest political figures in Morocco and Marrakech.

Now open to the public, visitors can discover the gardens and the buildings that make it up, which are exceptional testimonies of Islamic art and architecture.

Architectural particularity of the Secret Garden, its tower which reaches the same height as some of the minarets of the city, offering a unique view of the medina and its surroundings, as well as on the Atlas Moutains. There is almost no similar buildings in Marrakech.

Bio-Aromatic Garden of Ourika

Located in the Ourika Valley, 30km from Marrakech, the Bio-Aromatic Garden (or Nectarome Garden) is the first of its kind in Morocco.

Many activities and workshops raise awareness and inform visitors about the benefits of aromatic plants and their extracts for health, beauty and cooking.

In a more global aspect, the Ourika Bio-Aromatic Garden’s mission is to make its visitors aware of the importance of preserving our environment and our planet. In fact, the use of chemical products and pesticides is extremely limited and « living with nature » is advocated.

In addition to free or guided tours, the garden also offers a relaxing activity : foot baths with Nectarome batch salts flavored with essential oil of Amber Orange.
